Fair is fair…

An add-on to my sons’ summer chore/behavior chart. A full slate of checkmarks earns them video game time. Evidently my younger son thought my husband needed a little structure.

Heart Attack Grill

Saw this yesterday. Hil-arious! And concerning.

Watch CBS Videos Online

I also happen to like the ad that precedes it.

Ahhh, Texas

Last week we sat in traffic for an hour to see the annual Sand Castle competition put on by the Houston chapter of the American Institute of Architects on Galveston’s East Beach. So many superlatives about that experience:

…most people I have ever seen on a beach at one time

…greatest surface area of exposed flesh that should never have seen the light of day

…most irresponsible lack of sunblock

…weirdest place for a stroller

…first ever sighting of a dog in a bathing suit

Sandcastle themes centered mostly on the economy and living green, and there were plenty of good efforts. This one was my favorite though: Prez-Dispensers. I wish I could have gotten a shot from farther back (the long rectangle in the front is actually the dispenser), but it was hard enough to get a clean shot from where I was, right up against the ropes. I don’t think we’ll be back for a while–this year’s experience should hold us for another five years or so.
