Poor Baby

Anyone read Unladylike Pursuits and love it so much you want to write up a glowing five-star review on Amazon??  Today I got my first one star (anonymous) review and I’m not taking it as well as I should.  I am fully aware that this book is not for everyone, much as I wish it could be.  But still, it dulls the sparkle of a perfectly good day.

I need a ‘poor baby’.

What courage to leave a negative anonymous review!

Cheer down, Alyssa. You know you wrote a damn fine debut.

You two are so sweet! Thank you for the pick-me-up!

  4. Your book was wonderful! Someday I will write a post about how amazon reviews of other people who wrote my favorite books have scared me away from ever being a writer.

  5. I went to check out the review before I commented. The reviewer hasn't even finished reading the book. Nothing is more annoying to me than someone who trashes a book without finishing it first.

It's been a while since I've read your book but I do recall that I liked it a lot. Don't let one idiot reviewer get you down.

It feels like punch in the gut, don't it? As I always say… screw 'em. 😉

You should never read the bad reviews. Just sayin'.

    You guys are the best!!

  9. Ok, I'm just sayin, I went and read her review and other reviews that she has written on other books and she just seems mean! I don't think you should take it personally. It doesn't seem like she enjoys much! Love ya Alyssa!
