My Birthday

I was tagged by Stacy to do the following

Go to Wikipedia and type in your Birthday month and day only.
December 27

List 3 Events that occurred that day.
1. 1932 – ‘The Radio City Music Hall in New York City opens.
And they’re still kickin’!
2. 1904 – ‘James Barrie’s play Peter Pan premieres in London.’
Never seen the play, and I’m pretty sure I’ve not seen any version of the movie.
3. 1831 – ‘Charles Darwin embarks on his journey aboard the HMS Beagle, where he will formulate the theory of evolution’
…and inspire the great Jesus fish controversy being waged on the back of automobiles all over the country.

List 2 Important Birthdays
Louis Pasteur, French scientist–got milk? We do, and it’s not sour because of him!
Emilie de Ravin, Australian actress–she’s Claire in LOST

List 1 Death.
Being from Texas and having lived in the state capital for eight years, I had to list
1836 – Stephen F. Austin, American pioneer (b. 1793)

List a Holiday or Observance. (if any):
If it happens to fall on a Monday, it’s Boxing Day in Britain

That was actually fun! I tag anyone who’s curious or looking for a post topic.

  1. I’m stunned you’ve never seen any version of Peter Pan. And I would recommend Finding Neverland with Johnny Depp and Kate Winslet which is the story of how James Barrie came up with the idea for Peter Pan. Awesome movie!

  2. Really? NEver seen any version of Peter Pan? There was a GORGEOUS, magical live-action version released a couple of years ago.

  3. I, too, am amazed by this. I don’t know if Beck is referring to the version with Jason Isaacs, but if so, it must be watched. It is a GREAT movie.

  4. Kari Lee Townsend

I love peter pan. Hope you get to see a good one.

  5. Ooh, this is a fun meme! And I’ll join the bandwagon and say I can’t believe you’ve never seen any version of Peter Pan! You must – it’s wonderful!
