  1. I’ve read Sophie Jordan, Samantha Saxon, Jennifer St. Giles (though that was a paranormal–does she write straight historical, too?), Lydia Joyce, and Hope Tarr–loved Lord Jack (how can you resist a virgin hangman hero??!), but forgot to keep up with her. Thanks for reminding me.

Colleen Gleason’s in the box I got from B&N yesterday–well, not her personally–her book.

I’ll have to check out the others. So many books, so little time.

  2. I haven’t read any of these yet. I can’t wait to get my hands on Colleen’s book. It sounds awesome. I’ve added these to my ginormous TBR pile. :)

  3. Kari Lee Townsend

Thanks for the recommendations. These sound awesome!!

  4. Angela/SciFiChick

I only know Colleen, but then.. I’m not an avid reader of historical romance. I’ve only read a few.

  5. Just finished Colleen’s book last weekend which was awesome! I hope her series does well. Will have to add some of these authors to my “to buy” list!

    Happy TT!

  6. I’m not an avid reader, but as a graphic designer, I LOVE the cover of Vanquished!

  7. Thanks for the list, Alyssa. I’ll definitely check these authors out. Finding a good new historical author is like gold, IMO. I’m a big Madeline Hunter fan, but she has made it – nothing up and coming about her :).

  8. InterstellarLass

I’m not an avid reader of the genre, but I agree with Lindsey that the cover of Vanquished is gorgeous.

  9. Joely Sue Burkhart

I’ve read several of these, but some I haven’t–I’ll have to check them out!

  10. Nancy J. Bond

This is a great list — happy TT!

  11. Interesting! Great list! I haven’t read a straight historical romance in awhile. I just picked up Madeline Hunter’s “Rules of Seduction”

  12. Thanks for making this list. I used to love historical romances, but I rarely read them anymore. This is partly due to the fact that I no longer know which authors have great books. This gives me something to check out. Thanks!
